Where does the name “OSUSO” come from?
Our designer was tinkering around with a graphically pleasing name OSUSO and then we discovered a Japanese expression, osusowake, which translates to “sharing with others what has been given to you” which was already built into our business. And OSUSO was born.
Do you have physical stores?
No, OSUSO products are available exclusively at osusoproject.com
Do you offer gift cards?
Not yet, but we will. Please stay tuned.
How “limited” are your limited-edition silk tops?
For our launch, we have created just 70 of each style. We plan to grow that in the future. Once we run out of a style, we will retire that print and never reproduce it again. We believe this enhances the uniqueness of our brand.
How should I wash my silk garment?
Silk is an incredibly soft, natural fibre which makes it a sought after, luxurious fabric. While delicate to the touch and soft on the skin, silk is also very strong and durable. However, when washing your silk garment it needs to be handled with care to maintain its beauty, softness and durability. Here’s how to care for your OSUSO silk pieces:
- Hand or machine wash cold
- Wash separately
- Use a mild detergent
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Line dry or dry flat
- Steam or iron at low temperature
If you choose to machine wash your silk garment, we recommend using an OSUSO Wash Bag to keep your delicate items safe.
What is the dot on the logo?
There is beauty all around us, everywhere. Things don’t need to be perfect or symmetrical to be beautiful. The dot on the face of our logo is a beauty mark. It represents asymmetry and imperfection, and beauty.
Ordering, Returns and Shipping
What is your return policy?
Exchanges and returns must be requested within 14 calendar days of the delivery date. Please note we do not cover return shipping costs. Original shipping fees are also non-refundable. All products must be returned in original, unworn, unwashed condition, along with original tags attached and original packaging.

Why don’t you offer free shipping and free returns?
Very simply, we are a small brand. For all of us who shop online, our expectations around free shipping/returns have been shaped by the large brands who are able to work the costs of shipping into their pricing models. Many brands like OSUSO just can’t compete and be successful. We’d love to offer free shipping and returns (and maybe someday we will!) but it’s just not a viable option for us for now. We hope you understand.
On the other hand, as a small brand we can work and connect with you in ways that larger brands can’t. For example, please drop us a line some time and don’t be shocked when you get a prompt reply from an actual person!
When will my order ship?
Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days. As soon as we have processed your order we will send you a Canada Post tracking number with all shipping details including expected time of delivery.

Can I cancel my order?
Once an order is placed we work quickly to process and ship the order. If you need to cancel an order please contact us at support@osusoproject.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that once an order is shipped we are unable to modify or cancel the order.

How often do you re-stock?
Our silk tops and scarves are produced in limited quantities and once they’re all sold, they will not be re-stocked. We love the idea of “limited edition” tops and we hope you do too.
For our fleece, styles and colors will come and go but we will do our best to keep our core items in stock year-round.

How would you describe the “fit” of your silk garments?
Our washed silk tops have a relaxed, woven fit with a loose, flowy feel. They hang nicely on the body and allow for easy movement. These are not “fitted” designs.
How would you describe the “fit” of your fleece garments?
All of our fleece garments have a relaxed fit through the body offering comfort and ease of movement, but at the same time our designs do not have a “baggy” appearance. The fitted sleeves add structure and shape to the overall design but the fit is relaxed and comfortable.
Do you plan to offer more sizes?
Yes. We plan to offer a wider selection of sizes and styles in future runs. As we grow and get to know our customers our offerings will also grow, both in terms of the variety of products, and sizes available. Please stay tuned.
