As a proud Canadian company, we often get asked: Are your clothes made in Canada? The short answer is no — and we think it’s important to talk honestly about why.
To be clear, we have enjoyed working with Canadian manufacturers in the past, and we will do so again. For now, our clothing is designed in Canada and manufactured in China. While we’d love to have “Made in Canada” on all our labels it’s just not feasible at this time. Our decision to manufacture overseas reflects our commitment to quality and fine craftsmanship. In fact, producing our garments in China is most certainly not the cheaper option.
Skill and Trust
We have a longstanding relationship with our manufacturing partner in China, dating back many years to when we were operating Three Stones Clothing, the earlier iteration of our brand. Our factory partner has the cutting/sewing skills and construction know-how we require — especially when it comes to working with fabrics like our sand-washed silk and the detailed elements of our fleece designs.
It’s About Quality
There’s sometimes an assumption that “made in China” means made cheaply. While that may be true in some cases, it is most certainly not the case when it comes to the manufacturing of our garments. We don't manufacture in China because it's inexpensive. In fact, the quality and expertise we demand comes at a premium — and we believe it’s worth the higher costs. Our clothes are designed and crafted with impeccable attention to detail, using only high-quality fabrics, fabricated by highly skilled seamsters. Our clothes are exceptionally well-made, and they’re made to last.
The Bottom Line
We’re proud to be a Canadian brand, and we believe in quality, craftsmanship and doing things the right way. Using high-quality fabrics and expert craftsmanship our clothes are made to last in both style and durability, no matter where they’re made.
